Camera Operator

A camera operator in an audio-visual (AV) setting is responsible for operating camera equipment to record video for various projects:
Camera operators set up cameras & tripods, and plan shots, discuss lighting conditions, and camera movements.  Camera operators use different lenses and angles to record video to the format required.  Camera operators may help with technical or logistical challenges that arise during a shoot.  Camera ops may take direction from directors, photography directors, or technical directors.
 
Camera operators work with film, video, and digital media cameras, and may record news, events, movies, television shows, and other activities. They may also produce livestream videos.
