Lighting Systems Technician

The lighting system technician is usually the person who is making sure that the lights are in the right positions. A lighting system technician, also known as a lighting technician, is responsible for the power, installation, maintenance, and operation of lighting systems for the set-up before an event. They work with Lighting Designers (L1s), producers, electricians and other technical staff to ensure that the lighting design meets the project's artistic vision and technical requirements. They will often assist with the build of the lighting under direction of the L1.
